The Artist's way - Weekly Journal
To know what you prefer instead of humbly saying Amen to what the world tells you, you ought to prefer, is to have kept your soul alive.
Weekly Check - in
Just like last week, I completed my morning pages every day for the entire week. However, unlike the previous week, where I mostly vented about people, this time I focused more on writing about myself and my daily activities. Throughout the day, I noticed that my mind was more present and less preoccupied with unnecessary thoughts. The first few days of the week were productive, but as time went on, I found myself procrastinating my daily tasks.
I believe that morning pages are an effective way to declutter the mind and center oneself in the present moment. It allows me to let go of unnecessary distractions and focus on the here and now.
For my Artist date this week, I visited a beautiful garden and immersed myself in poetry. Usually, I understand the message that poets are trying to convey, but this time, I found myself deeply connecting with the emotions and experiences expressed in the poems. It was a truly enjoyable day, and I cherished the experience.
While this week may not have been as fun as the previous one, there were still some notable changes. I discovered myself singing a lot, which brought a serene feeling to my days. Additionally, it was my sister's birthday, so I took the opportunity to write her a heartfelt letter for the first time. The experience was truly amazing and filled with joy.
Although I enjoyed the previous week more, the infusion of poetry and singing made this week beautiful in its own way. I am absolutely loving this journey of self-discovery and creativity.
